The building comprises approximately 80,000 m² of total area. More than 280 laboratories are housed within it, with about one-third of the area dedicated to laboratories.

What is researched here

RIVM researches infectious diseases, including zoonoses and vaccines, investigates environmental health, and develops new approaches using innovative data and diagnostic methods – always with the goal of providing evidence-based knowledge for the protection of health and the environment.

Wobatech Services

The laboratory infrastructure was created with a high degree of prefabrication and delivered as complete units directly to the construction site. Thanks to just-in-time delivery, on-site installation was quick and without additional interfaces. Through BIM planning, all trades were precisely coordinated. Wobatech was responsible for the entire laboratory ceiling with media columns, spot extractions, and modular partitions.
